Box Scores: Game One | Game Two
MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Royals got great weather on Monday as they traveled north to Moorhead, taking on the Cobbers of Concordia. Bethel split the double header with Concordia, winning the first game 12-3, then dropping a tight game 2-1.
Becky Akerson was the winning pitcher in game 1. Akerson pitched 5 innings, only allowing 3 runs. With the win Akerson's record improves to 4-4. The Royals bats backed up the pitching as they put together 16 hits and 12 runs in just 28 at bats. Steph Vostberg continued to hit well as she drove in 3 rbi's in game 1.
The second game was a much lower scoring game.
Genna Bock pitched a strong game for Bethel allowing only 4 hits and 2 runs. It was not enough however as the Royals were only able to get 1 run on 7 hits to lose by 1.
Megan Matson lead the Bethel bats in game 2 with 2 hits.
If weather permits the Royals will be back in action again on Wednesday at Augsburg College. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
