BOX SCORE

ARDEN HILLS, Minn.
- The Bethel Men's Basketball team attempted to stop a 5-game losing streak Monday evening at the Robertson Center to no avail. The Royals kept the game close through much of regulation and at one point had significant momentum heading into half time. Unfortunately for Bethel, they couldn't seal the deal on a victory against the MIAC leading Carleton Knights.

For much of the first half, the Royals played solid ball against a tough Carleton squad. Earlier on it appeared the Knights would be in cruise control, but the Royals never let them off the hook as Bethel trailed by a dismal 3 points heading into the locker room.

With Carleton backed into a corner, the start of the second half would be crucial for Bethel's momentum the rest of the game. Despite trying to set an earlier tone in the opening minutes of the second, the Royals found themselves slowing creeping out of the game. The Knights connected on some clutch shots to begin the second half, and from there the Royals had to play catch up. Eventually, the Carleton lead was too significant as the Knights went onto the 72-60 victory.

Christian Skinner (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Greg Meyer (So., Brooklyn Center, Minn.) had the hot hand for the Royals this evening, with Skinner connecting for 16 points and Meyer with 14 points.

The Royals will continue play this Wednesday evening when they take on St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
