BOX SCORE

ST. JOSEPH, Minn.
- The Bethel Women's Basketball team had little momentum coming off their recent losses, however, all of that was snapped Monday evening when the Royals sealed the deal on a 52-48 victory over conference foe, College of Saint Benedict Blazers.

The two teams played nearly identical basketball in the first 20 minutes of the game. There were seven lead changes over the course of the half with the game tied at 19 heading into the locker room. Despite the close battle, the Royals were shooting a dismal 31 percent from the field. Scotti Moats (So., Waconia, Minn.) led the Royals in scoring in the first with 11 points.

Saint Ben's started the second half with a 9-2 run to take a 7 point lead with 15 minutes left on the clock. Six minutes later, the Blazers were still ahead by seven with a 36-29 score. However, the Royals clawed back into the game and found themselves up 44-40 with two minutes remaining in regulation. The lead would hold up, as the Royals would go onto take the game by a final of 52-48. Shana Grejtak (Sr., Franklin, Minn.) had an excellent game recording 14 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double performance. Moats finished the game leading the Royals in scoring with 21 points. She also chimed in with 7 rebounds.

With the win, the Royals are back on pace to continue their battle for a play-off berth. The Royals now find themselves with a 9-9 overall record and a 7-8 mark in the MIAC. Bethel will play host to the College of St. Catherine Wednesday evening at the Robertson Center. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
