Royals Pull Off A Much Needed Win Against The Scots 69-59

SAINT PAUL, Minn.
- After collecting their first MIAC victory a week ago, the Bethel Men's Basketball team fended off the opposing Macalester College Scots by a score of 69-59 Saturday afternoon at the Leonard Center.

The Royals collected 31 points in the first half of play Saturday with Christian Skinner (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) leading the way with 11 points. Taylor Hall (So., Blaine, Minn.) would finish the first with 7 points. The Royals would carry a nice 31-24 lead into the locker room, with their eyes focused on a much needed MIAC win.

Bethel finally held onto the lead they started with and threw together a competitive second half which saw the Royals once again out score the Scots 38-35. With the victory, the Royals now look to gain momentum as they hope to finish strong in the second half of the MIAC season. Hall would go onto lead Bethel in scoring with 18 points on the afternoon, while Skinner finished with 15 points and 9 rebounds. #J.D. Robinson# (So., Plymouth, Minn.) would finish with 11 points and Daniel Baah (Jr., Farmington, Minn.) with 13.

Up next for the Royals will be Saint Mary's University on Wednesday evening at the Robertson Center. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
