BOX SCORE
ST. PETER, Minn. - Trying to gain momentum for the rest of the season and start up a win streak, the Bethel Men's Basketball team traveled to Gustavus Adolphus College Wednesday evening in an attempt to do just that. While the Royals had several players put up double-digit point figure, they still came up short and fell to the Gusties 85-72.
The Royals put a decent first half of play together when they trailed by only 3 points entering halftime.
Taylor Hall (So., Blaine, Minn.) led the Royals in scoring with 14 points in the first and
Christian Skinner (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) chipped in with 11 points of his own to aid the Royals cause.
Down 39-36 entering into the second half, the Royals tried to string a few buckets together to regain the lead and have the momentum dialed back into their favor. Hall had another impressive half scoring collecting 10 points and giving him 24 points on the evening.
Daniel Baah (Jr., Farmington, Minn.) had 11 points in the second as well. Gustavus appeared to be too much for Bethel to handle in the second half of plan as they extended their lead and went onto the win. Baah finished with 15 points, Skinner with 14, and #J.D. Robinson# (So., Plymouth, Minn.) had 11 points.
The Royals continue play Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. when they take on the Fighting Scots of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
