ARDEN HILLS, Minn.
- Playing good basketball as of late, the Bethel Women's Basketball team looked to continue that trend Saturday afternoon in the Robertson Center. The Royals faced a strong opponent in Concordia College, but were up to the task as they came out on top 58-56 in an important conference match-up.

Prior to Saturday afternoon's affair, the Royals had collected 6 wins in a row, also known as a winning streak in sporting circles. Concordia would be the toughest test for the Bethel squad, as the Cobbers brought in a 8-3 overall record. The Royals played some good ball throughout the first half, with Scotti Moats (So., Waconia, Minn.) registering 11 points. Taylor Sheley (Jr., Backus, Minn.) also had a nice half with 8 points of her own, helping the Royals cause. Trailing 33-27 after the first, the Royals remained in good position for a second half comeback.

Bethel displayed some nice athleticism and heart in the second half, as they trailed by 12 points at one juncture, but came back to take the lead late in the half. With the Royals in bounding the ball and the score tied at 56, Concordia fouled Sheley with 2 seconds remaining in regulation. After draining both free throws, the Royals fending off any miracle attempts Concordia had and took the game 58-56. Sheley finished the game with 22 points, while Moats finished with 16 points and 12 boards.

The Royals will travel to Northfield Monday evening to take on the St. Olaf College Oles at 7:30 p.m.
