BOX SCORE
NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Still in search of their first MIAC victory, the Bethel Men's Basketball team took on the Carleton College Knights Wednesday evening. Once again the Royals had a close game on their hands, but couldn't get the better of the Knights and fell 60-56.
Offensive was hard to come by for both squads in the first half of play as both teams could only conjure up 18 points. In the limited scoring affair,
Daniel Baah (Jr., Farmington, Minn.) led the Royals with 5 points in the first half of play, while
Kellan Dahlquist (Jr., Foley, Minn.) had 4 points.
The second half was a different story as both teams offense picked up and the Royals strung together some points thanks to
Greg Meyer (So., Brooklyn Center, Minn.) who put down 17 points alone in the second. Still battling to get back into the game and ultimately take the lead, the Royals couldn't muster up enough offense to finagle the lead from Carleton's grip. With seconds winding down, the Royals hopes of a win faded as they lost 60-56. Meyer led the team with 19 points and Baah came in with 13.
The Royals return home to take on Concordia College at 3 p.m Saturday. The Cobbers are currently 8-5 overall and 4-4 in MIAC play.
