ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bethel's women's tennis team played two games over the weekend but unfortunately were held winless as they lost to Concordia and Saint Benedict.

On Friday, the Royals battled Concordia but came up short in a hard fought 5-4 loss. Bethel was led by the doubles team of Krista Nauman (So., Buffalo, Minn.) and Ashley Watts (Sr., Winona, Minn.). Not only were Nauman and Watts the only doubles team to win, they also both won their singles matches. In addition to Nauman and Watts, Heather Ritger (Sr., Glenwood, Minn.) was also able to get a win in singles competition.

Bethel played Saint Benedict on Saturday and although they lost 9-0, they played some good tennis and had a few close matches. Watts forced a first set tiebreaker in her singles match and both Carolyn Kishaba (So., Eau Claire, Wis.) and Ashley Dohlen (Sr., Morris, Minn.) were able to win five games in a set against their respective opponents.

The Royals will wrap up their season this Tuesday when they travel to Hamline to take on the Pipers. The match gets underway at 4:30 p.m.
