Box Score

ST. PAUL, Minn.
- Despite 21 points from Daniel Baah (So., Farmington, Minn.) and 19 from Nate Robertson (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.), the Royals were held down by their hosts, the Hamline Pipers, 87-71 tonight.

The first half battle was won by the Pipers. They jumped out to an early 12-point advantage and saw that lead dissolve to only four heading into the locker room, 39-35. The Pipers never lost the lead in the second half and finished with an 18-7 run in the closing minutes.

Robertson scored 16 of his 19 points in the first half and cleaned eight rebounds off the boards. Out of those 19 points, 11 of them were achieved from the free-throw line, only missing one all night. Baah not only led the team in scoring, but also led the Royals with nine total rebounds.

As a collected group, the Royals were 18-20 from the free-throw line. However, that could not offset Carl Hipp's game high 29 points and 14 rebounds for the Pipers.

The Royals drop to 10-10 overall and 6-9 in the MIAC while the Pipers improved to 14-7 overall and 10-6 in conference play. Bethel's next game is scheduled for this Saturday at the Robertson Center at 3 p.m. against St. Olaf.
