BOX SCORE

ARDEN HILLS, Minn.
- Taking on the 20th ranked College of Saint Benedict Blazers Wednesday evening,
was the Bethel Royals Women's Basketball team. Despite lingering around in the game during regulation, and at one point down four with a minute remaining, the Royals couldn't muster up enough points as the Blazers left the Robertson Center with a victory, 63-55.

Throughout the first half, the Royals battle hard and remained in the game against a very good Blazers squad. Taylor Sheley (Jr., Backus, Minn.) collected 7 points in the first, while Shana Gretjak (Sr., Franklin, Minn.) came away with 9 rebounds. After a solid first half by both teams, the Blazers went into the locker room with a 38-27 lead.

In the second, the Royals really had the Blazers on the ropes as they tirelessly chipped away at the Blazers lead and found themselves a mere four points down with a minute remaining in regulation. The Royals had plenty of chances, but unfortunately couldn't capitalize on them and ended up falling 63-55. Regardless of the lose, Gretjak finished with 14 rebounds while Scotti Moats (So., Waconia, Minn.) had 10 rebounds. Sheley finished with a team high 15 points and Michaela Petrich finished with 10.

Up next for the Royals will be Carleton College whom they take on in Northfield, Minnesota this weekend.
