ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - Hosting Saint Mary's University this evening, the Bethel Royals Women Basketball team came out flying high as they shut down the 4-1 Cardinals in the first half by a score of 31-16. Despite, trailing early 5-12, the Royals went on an impressive 26-4 run throughout the remainder of the first half to take a dominant lead into the locker room. With a balanced scoring attack,
Scotti Moats (So., Waconia, Minn.) led all Bethel scorers with 7 points in the first.
The Royals momentum never slowed as they finished the second half with 30 points and cruised to their first victory of the season by a score of 60-48. Moats led the Royals with 14 points on the evening, while
Taylor Sheley (Jr., Backus, Minn.) and Shana Gretjak (Sr., Franklin, Minn.) each finished with 11 points in the Royals victory effort.
Now 1-2 on the year, the Royals will host the College of Saint Benedict Blazers Wednesday evening at the Robertson Center with the tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
