NEW ULM, Minn. - The Royals looked sharp Saturday night when they faced off against the Knights of Martin Luther. The Royals defeated the Knights 92-64, shooting 55.4% from the floor. Four Royals put up double digits in the victory. In the first half
Greg Meyer (So., Brooklyn Center, Minn.) racked up 12-points, while finishing with 17 on the night.
Christian Skinner (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) and
Taylor Hall (So., Blaine, Minn.) each had a 21-point night. Hall also had 3 assists, 5 rebounds and a block, while Skinner grabbed 10 rebounds, and a block.
Eric Hildebrandt (Jr., Fairbault, Minn.) was the fourth Royal in double digits, with 10-points and 4 rebounds.
The Royals led the Knights by 12 points at the half, 44-32. In the second half Bethel shut the door on the Knights, when they got hot with just over 12 minutes to play, going on a 25-9 run.
Nathan Bauer was the lead scorer for Martin Luther, putting up 16 points in the game. The Knights now drop to 0-8 on the season while the Royals improve to 3-6. The Royals will be back in action on January 5th when the are hosted by the Hamline Pipers in St. Paul.
