ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Royals hosted St. John's today in men's soccer as part of a weekend of homecoming events at Bethel. The game was a defensive battle for over 90 minutes as the Royals forced the Johnnies into overtime. Just under 3 minutes into overtime the Johnnies found the back of the net to end the match 1-0.

Leading the defense for the Royals was junior goalkeeper Leif Sundberg (Mahtomedi, Minn.) who had 7 saves in the match. Brandon Peplinski (Sr., Maple Grove, Minn.) lead the offense with 5 shots, one of which was on goal.

The Royals next action comes Monday when they host Viterbo University at Ona Orth athletic complex. The game begins at 3:30pm.
