Bethel University Athletics

Dale Turnquist, earned All-MIAC (1989, 1990, 1991) All-Region honors (1989, 1990, 1991) and NCAA All-American (1990, 1991) honors as a center on Bethel's men's basketball team.  After transferring to Bethel from Bowling Green State University in fall 1988, Turnquist proceeded to set Bethel's single season records for points (713), field goals (277), and free throws (151). He also set single game records for points (49) and free throws made (15). He went on to play professionally in Europe and Australia for several years.
