Valerie Smith (Fr., Alexandria, Minn.) recorded 40 digs in a four-set match against St. Catherine University last Saturday, giving her the second-highest single match total among MIAC players so far this season. According to Head Coach Gretchen Hunt, no Bethel player has tallied 40 or more digs in her time at Bethel, which goes back to 1998. As the libero, Smith leads the team with 373 digs.
