Ross Petterson (Jr., Maple Grove, Minn.) was a major defensive factor in Bethel's 15-7 win over St. Olaf on Saturday. He led the team in tackles with 10 (five solo, five assists), broke up three passes, and had one of the biggest defensive plays of the game by intercepting the Oles on first down and goal at the Bethel 3-yard line and returning the ball 35 yards with less than two minutes remaining, thus preserving the lead. Petterson is the overall team leader in tackles and ranks among the top 10 defensive players in the conference for tackles.
