Matt graduated from St. Croix Prep High School in Woodbury, MN. He is the son of Gene and Bridget and is majoring in Education at Bethel. While in high school, he was the MVP of the track team, earned All-Conference Honorable Mention awards twice in football, and was the English Student of the Year. His best performance was during a playoff game when he had 8 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 blocked kick.
