Nate Hatton

Bethel University cross country and track and field programs have named Nate Hatton as a graduate assistant coach.  Hatton, a graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., had a highly successful running career for the Thunder, which included two national cross country meet appearances, and was voted team captain for two consecutive seasons.

"I couldn't be more excited about what Nate will bring to our programs," noted Head Track and Field Coach Andrew Rock. "He has a tremendous passion for our sport and his enthusiasm will make a positive impact in our student-athlete's experience. He also has significant experience in various mentorship roles and it is clear he has a true passion for serving others."

Head Cross Country Coach Joe Stephens added, "His experience as a high-level collegiate athlete is impressive, but Nate brings so much more. He has tremendous character, a passion for his faith, and a strong desire to enthusiastically lead others."

Nate will assist in coaching the distance events, while working towards a Master's in Business Administration. "I feel very blessed to be able to coach at Bethel," said Hatton. "I have respected the institution for a long time and believe in their vision to help transform young men and women to be more like Christ.  I'm super excited to get started and help out the cross country and track and field teams."

Hatton holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations along with minors in Geology and Economics.  He currently resides in St. Louis Park, Minn.
