About John: De Cleene grew up in the Philippines and is a graduate from Faith Academy in Manila, Philippines. He lettered in tennis but also played basketball, soccer and tennis. In high school, he was in the National Honors Society, was the basketball MVP and the tennis MVP. His parents are John and Lori De Cleene and were missionaries in the Phillipines. He is currently majoring in Biokinetics and minoring in Biblical/Theological Studies.  

Why Bethel?: “I wanted to go to a Christian school with good academics.”
