Bethel University Athletics

Pag has developed from a raw-boned, hard working freshman, 4 years ago, into the consumate power post player.  Coach Palke feels Doug is the best big man in the MIAC.  He continues the Royal tradition of dominate post players.  MIAC statistics for 1986-87 reveal that Pag had an outstanding junior year.  He finished 2nd in rebounding, 8th in scoring, and 8th in field goal percentage.
An anthropology major, "Pag" intends to continue his education at the Bethel Seminary.  Doug is a solid 3.2 student after a shakey freshman year.  In fact he has improved so much that he has been awardwd academic convocation scholarships.
Doug is very busy this year as he now works in the youth ministry at Wooddale Church.  His love of God, outgoing personality, and concern for the well being of the young people make Dough perfect for this work.  He has become an accomplished speaker as evidenced by Bethel President George Brushaber selecting him to speak at the Royal Invesotrs Banquet this fall.
