Bethel University Athletics

David Leafblad, a graduate of Bethel, is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Bethel men's basketball team. He joins the Royals following four seasons as an assistant at St. Olaf where he helped with the program's recruiting as well as game and practice planning. During his time with the program, the Oles made the MIAC Playoffs in all three seasons the tournament was held and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2017-18.  Prior to his time at St. Olaf, he was an assistant coach for the boys varsity team at Blaine High School. He also coaches within Minnesota Select AAU program as well as a variety of basketball camps and is a basketball instructor for the Minnesota School of Basketball.
