BETHEL ATHLETICS
• Assumed the role of Athletics Director at Bethel University in 2004
• Created and instituted 16 new full-time positions within the athletics department 
• Has hired 14 new head coaches and three sports information directors
• Helped 16 Bethel student-athletes receive NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships
• Has seen Bethel student-athlete GPA's rise to over 3.2 in his tenure
• Bethel athletic teams have won 12 MIAC regular season championships, four MIAC tournament championships and made 72 MIAC playoff appearances in his tenure as Athletics Director
• West Region Representative to the NCAA DIII Men's Basketball National Committee
• Chair of the MIAC Athletic Directors Council
• Member of the MIAC Strategic Planning Committe for Identity & Branding
• Former Member of the MIAC Playoff Policy committee

COACHING EXCELLENCE
• Holds the second highest winning percentage (.621) in Bethel men's basketball coaching history and the second most wins (146)
• Sported a 110-70 career mark in MIAC play
• Made the MIAC playoffs in each of last eight seasons as head coach
• Andy Gilbert named MIAC Player of the Year in 2003
• Amassed a 330-165 career record in 22 seasons as a high school boys basketball coach including a 271-119 record in 17 years at Fergus Falls (Minn.)
• Member of the Fergus Falls High School Hall of Fame


BASEBALL
• Played three seasons of baseball at the University of Minnesota under the legendary Dick Siebert
• Head baseball coach at Bethel in 1979

FAMILY
• Married to wife Carol with two children; Alisa (Dave) and Tyson (Katie) and six grandchildren
