About Matt:  Newlin graduated from John F Kennedy High School in 2008.  During high school he participated and lettered in wrestling and football.  He also earned awards for All Conference Wrestling and Gold Helmet Award.  In his free time Matt likes to hang out with his friends.  He is majoring in History and minoring in Coaching.  After he graduates from Bethel University, Newlin is planning on attending Graduate School to become a Post-Secondary Teacher.

Why Bethel?:  "I chose to come to Bethel for the football program and it's a great place to be."
