Coach Mike Johnson returns to Bethel after twenty years coaching high school football. Most recently, Mike served at Osseo High School for the past eight seasons as Defensive Coordinator, when Osseo won two conference championships, a 2013 State Tournament appearance, and a 2015 MN 6A State Championship. Before Osseo, Mike coached football eleven seasons at Maple Grove and Park Center high schools and coached from 1989-1995 at Bethel, where he played football, graduating in 1984. Coach Johnson is currently an English teacher and Instructional Coach in Osseo Area Schools. He lives in Brooklyn Park with his wife Anne and two daughters, Ellen and Bea.
