Larry Herm served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for Bethel's 18 varsity sports, while also serving a five year stint on the football coaching staff. Herm came to BU following a 27-year tenure as the head football coach and 33 total years of coaching at Foley High School. While with the Falcons, Herm amassed a 157-109 record—the most wins in school history—while also earning a state championship in 1998, two state playoff appearances, and four section runner-up results. Herm was honored with Coach of the Year accolades by both the State of Minnesota in football and the NSCA for strength. Herm retired after teaching physical education for 34 years and retired from strength and conditioning coach in July 2024.
