Biography
Matthew graduated from North High School in 2011 where he participated in cross country, Nordic skiing and track. He was awarded three letters in cross country, four in Nordic skiing and three in track. The Oakdale, Minn., native was Conference Champ, Section Champ and All-State in cross country. He was also All-Conference in skiing and was the 3200m and 1600m Conference Champ. Outside of sports, Matthew was in the National Honors Society and was in band. Son of Mark and Lynn Berens, Matthew is currently majoring in Biochemistry and Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics. He aspires to work in engineering in the future.
