Ryan is a 2012 graduate from Anoka, Minnesota, where he participated in football, baseball, basketball, and track.  In baseball, Ryan was All-State and All-Conference.  In football, Ryan was All-Conference his senior year and All-Conference Honorable Mention his junior year.  Ryan holds seven different school records in baseball.  Son of Andy and Wendy Kopca, Ryan is majoring in Biokinetics and Exercise Science with a minor in Strength and Conditioning and Athletic Coaching.
