Josh is a 2012 graduate from Anoka, Minnesota, where he participated in football and lacrosse.  In football, Josh was All-Conference, All-Metro, All-State, Northwest Suburban Conference MVP, two-time Offensive MVP, Minnesota Vikings All-State Team, Mr. Football Nominee, and Team Captain.  In Lacrosse, Josh was All-Conference and Offensive MVP.  Son of Craig and Cari Werness, Josh is majoring in Biokinetics and minoring in Physical Education.  Transfer from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota.
