In 2009, Derek Waldbilig graduated from Farmington High School and attended the University of St. Thomas for a semester before transferring to Bethel.  In high school, Derek participated in football, basketball, and track. He was a member of the 4x100 track team that placed third in the 2008 State Meet and was named All-Conference in football his junior and senior year. Since his time at Bethel, he has also become an active member in the Student Athletic Advisory Committee as the president.  Waldbilig is a business major with an emphasis on finance and marketing.  Derek is the son of Kevin and Nancy Waldbilig.
