COON RAPIDS, MINN.—The Bethel University women's golf team opened their 2026-27 season at the St. Kate's Fall Opener at the Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids, Minnesota on Friday and Saturday. The Royals finished the two-day event in second place with a 628 (+52). Northwestern (Minn.) won the team title with a 618 (+42). Caylin Cantwell (St. Catherine) won the individual crown with a 145 (+1).

Tori Peterson paced Bethel with a second-place score of 149 (+5) that consisted of a 78 (+6) in round one, and a 71 (-1) in round two. Next was Christina Scheid, who took 10th place with a 157 (+13) that included scores of 79 (+7) and 78 (+6). Sophie Brantner, whose 159 (+15) put her in 12th place, registered a 79 (+7) and 80 (+8). Raelynn Pannhoff shot a 82 (+10) and a 81 (+9), which gave her a 13th-place score of 163 (+19). Rounding out the Bethel lineup was Lily Lundgren, who finished tied for 15th place with a 164 (+20) that included scores of 83 (+11) and 81 (+9).

The Royals "B" lineup accumulated a 672 (+96). Courtney Hershberger (165, +21), Kendall Hoag (168, +24), Anna Pitts (169, +25), Josie Brantner (171, +27) and Laura Vernon (176, +32) round out the "B" scores.

Bethel will compete at the Gustavus D3 Classic on September 12-13 at the Emerald Greens in Hastings, Minnesota.
