ST. CLOUD, MINN.—The Bethel University men's cross country team competed at the Saint John's / Saint Benedict Toni St. Pierre Invitational, held at the River Oaks Golf Course in Cold Spring, Minnesota on Friday. The Royals came in second place out of six teams with 59 points. Macalester claimed the team title with 38 points, while Cole Stencel (Saint John's) claimed the individual crown with a 25:35.9. 

Hootie Hage commanded the Royals with a second-place time of 25:53.6, followed by Max Meissner's fourth-place time of 26:01.7. Weston Catton took 10th place with a 26:25.7, while TJ Strubbe's career-best 27:00.6 put him in 23rd place. Andrew Tscholl followed in 24th place with a 27:05.2 while Gavin Hansen (27:12.1) and Charlie Gundale (27:43.2) rounded out the top seven Bethel finishers.

Aiden Reuter (27:59.5), Sam Gaines (28:04.3), Victor Lelinga (28:06.4), Weston Rolf (28:27.5), Michael Schultz (29:02.4), Micah Barberg (29:34.8), Mason Hays (30:15.9), Ethan Heeg (30:26.2), and Ethan Bowen (30:35.7) also represented Bethel.

The Royals will compete at Pre-Nationals, hosted by Carleton in Northfield, Minnesota on Saturday, October 3.
