RESULTS
ALTOONA, WIS.—The Bethel University men's golf team competed at the UW-Eau Claire Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational at the Eau Claire Golf Club (round one) and Wild Ridge Golf Course (round two) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on September 13 and 14.
The Royals finished tied for 5th place out of 22 teams with a +33 (605). The host Blugolds won the team title with a +12 (584). Winning the individual title was John Dobbe (Dubuque), who carded a two-day score of -4 (139).
Finishing tied for ninth place were freshmen Sander Ohe and Tyler Hoppe +4 (147). Ohe's scorecard consisted of a +1 (72) in round one, and a +3 (75) in round two; while Hoppe notched a +3 (74) and a +1 (73). Zeke Roberts prevailed with a +8 (151) that put him tied for 29th place, which split into a +3 (74) and +5 (77). Up next was Carson Hannestad, who registered a +9 (152). Hannestad carded a +2 (73) in round one, followed by a +7 (79) in round two. Rounding out the Royals primary lineup was Jesse Balc's +12 (155), and Charlie Solberg's +15 (158).
The Bethel "B" Team finished tied for 11th place with a +44 (163). Avery Ross ( T14, +7, 150), Charlie Solberg (+15, 158), Parker Trobec (+16, 159), Ben Mertz (+17, 160), and Adam Wagner (+20, 163) round out the Royals.
Bethel will host the Minnesota Golf Classic at the Pioneer Creek Golf Course in Maple Plain, Minnesota on September 20 and 21.
