Royals Take Fourth Place at SJU Spring Invite

RESULTS

ST. CLOUD, MINN.—The Bethel University men's golf team competed at the Saint John's Spring Invite at the Wapicanda Golf Course in round one on Saturday, and Monticello Country Club on Sunday. The Royals finished in fourth place out of 15 teams with a 582 (+10). Gustavus Adolphus won the team title with a 574 (+2), while Spencer Lynch (138, -5) from UW-Eau Claire won the individual crown.

Jesse Balc was one stroke from the tournament leader as he finished tied for second place with a 139 (-4) after shooting a 69 in round one, and a 70 in round two.

Jacob Ferrin registered a 71 in rounds one and two, which put him tied for sixth place with a 142 (-1). 

Zeke Roberts had a 75 in round one, and came back with a 71 in round two. Roberts' two-day total of 146 (+3) put him in a tie for 18th place. 

Charlie Solberg took 66th place with a 157 (+14), while Carson Hannestad rounded out the Royals' team score with a 68th-place score of 158 (+15).

The Bethel "B" Squad finished tied for seventh place with a 590 (+18). Avery Ross was tied for 10th place with a 144 (+1), followed by Adam Wagner's 145 (+2) that put him in a tie for 13th place. Ethan Hall (149, +6), Ben Mertz (152, +9), and Parker Trobec (159, +15) round out the "B" squad.

Wyatt Peterson (159, +16) represented Bethel as an individual.

The Royals will compete at the NCAA Division III Championship at the Mission Hill Resort and Club in Howey-In-The Hills, Florida  on May 12-15.
