NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Bethel University men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaking 4-3 road decision to St. Olaf on Wednesday evening.
The Royals fall to 17-3, 5-3 MIAC, while the Oles improve to 9-8, 5-3 MIAC.

The doubles flight kicked off with a 6-1 win from Micah Gustafson/Zach Bengtson at No. 3. The Oles earned the point with wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles. This included a gut wrenching 7-6 (7-4) loss from Carter Sheard/Dylan Magistad at No. 1 doubles.
Kade Bishop maintained his status as the best No. 5 singles player in NCAA Division III as he cruised to a 6-4, 6-2 victory. Micah Gustafson gave Bethel a 2-1 lead with a nail-biting 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) win at No. 6 singles.
The Oles knotted the match 2-2 at No. 4 singles, where Zack Chaffey dropped a 6-4, 6-1 score. Bethel responded with a 3-2 lead thanks to Watson Sheard's 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) win at No. 3 singles.
St. Olaf iced a 4-3 victory at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Dylan Magistad fell 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) at No. 2, followed by Carter Sheard's tough 6-7 (0-7), 6-1, 1-0 (10-7) loss at No. 1.
Bethel will conclude their 2025-26 regular season against Saint John's at Ona Orth Complex on Saturday, April 25 at 4:30 p.m.
