ROGERS, MINN.—The No. 72 Bethel University men's tennis team defeated St. Scholastica 4-3 at the Rogers Tennis Club on Saturday.
The Royals improve to 15-2, 3-2 MIAC, while the Saints fall to 9-4, 3-2 MIAC.

The doubles point belonged to the Saints, who won the top two spots. Micah Gustafson/Zach Bengtson prevailed 7-6 (7-5) at the No. 3 spot.
Kade Bishop took care of business 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 singles, as did Carter Sheard 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1. Watson Sheard kept the wins going at No. 3 singles, where he prevailed 6-2, 7-5.
Dylan Magistad dropped a heartbreaking 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-2) decision at No. 2 singles before Micah Gustafson clinched the match with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) triumph at No. 6 singles. Zack Chaffey was on the wrong end of a 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6) score at No. 4 singles.
The Royals will travel to Hamline on Thursday, April 16 at 4 p.m.
