The Vikings registered at least one run in every inning except the sixth. This included a five-run fifth inning that gave them enough cushion in a 12-6 decision.

The Royals accumulated 10 hits in the contest, while the Vikings mustered 11. Three of those hits came from Chris Cannon, who finished 3-for-5 with one run scored and one RBI for Bethel. Sam Abbas went 2-for-4 with one double, two runs scored, and one walk. Seth Nelson's three-run home run in the sixth inning made up his 1-for-4 performance.

Royals starting pitcher Roman Lachenmayer surrendered five hits, four runs (three earned), two walks, and notched two strikeouts over 4.0 innings of work before Aiden Eckert, Brandon Witter, Zach Johnson, and Kellan Schultz finished the game in relief.

The Vikings utilized nine pitchers in the contest. Leading them at the plate was Henry Akio Itani Matuda, who finished 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in the eighth inning, one double, four runs scored, and one walk.

Bethel will host Augsburg (DH) at Hargis Park on Wednesday, April 1 at 1 p.m.
