ROSEVILLE, MINN.—The Bethel University baseball team cruised to a 13-4 victory at Northwestern (Minn.) on Tuesday afternoon.
The Royals improve to 9-4, while the Eagles fall to 5-8.

Both teams combined for 30 hits. Nineteen of those hits belonged to the Royals, which included 10 for extra bases.Â
Sam Abbas hit for the cycle, going 4-for-6 with five RBI and two runs scored. Playing the game of his life was Drew Girtz, who was a perfect 5-for-5 with one double, one triple, three runs scored and one walk. Hayden Sperbeck, who scored a team-leading four runs, finished 3-for-5 with one double, one triple, three RBI, and one walk.
Chris Cannon's two doubles made up his 2-for-6 outing that also consisted of two RBI and one run scored. Rounding out the multi-hit Royals was Tyler Allshouse, who was 2-for-4 with one run scored, one RBI, and one walk.Â
Starting pitcher Aiden Eckert surrendered three hits, one walk, and notched five strikeouts over 5.0 innings of a winning decision. Tanner Nordrum, Brady Schmidt, and Zach Johnson combined to allow eight hits, four runs, and notch three strikeouts over four innings in relief.Â
The Eagles finished with 11 hits in the game, but just one of them were for extra bases. Christian Raya led Northwestern at the plate with a 3-for-4 outing that included one double, and two RBI.Â
The Royals will return to action tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25 at UW-River Falls. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
