ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Bethel University men's and women's tennis teams continued their dominance with victories, while the baseball and softball teams lost during their spring trip on Thursday, March 19.
MEN'S TENNIS
Bethel registered a 5-2 victory over UW-Eau Claire at the Oak Street Community Tennis Center in Orlando, Florida on Thursday. The Royals improved to 12-1, while the Blugolds fell to 7-4.

The doubles point belonged to UW-Eau Claire despite Micah Gustafson/Zach Bengtson picking up a 6-4 win in the No. 3 match.
The singles flight was all Bethel, who won five-of-six matches. Kade Bishop registered a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles, followed by a 6-2, 6-0 win from Micah Gustafson at No. 6. Carter Sheard took care of business 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1, while Dylan Magistad gutted out a 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-6) victory at No. 2. Rounding out the Bethel victories was Zack Chaffey, who notched a 6-4, 6-4 decision at No. 4.
The Royals will conclude their spring trip tomorrow, Friday, March 20 against Colby-Sawyer at 7:30 a.m. (ET), and Crown at 8 a.m. (ET) at the USTA National Campus.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Royals kept their undefeated season alive with a 4-3 victory over Hamilton in their spring trip finale at the Oak Street Community Center in Orlando, Florida.
Bethel moves to 11-0, while Hamilton falls to 3-2.

Doubles belonged to Bethel, who got a 6-0 victory from Claire Keller/Zadie Walvatne at No. 2, and a 6-4 decision from Lauryn Douglas/Michaella Sullivan at No. 1.
The top three singles matches belonged to the Royals. Lauryn Douglas won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1, followed by a 6-3, 6-2 decision from Sullivan at No. 2. Claire Keller won a close 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) battle at No. 3.
The Royals will open MIAC play at Macalester on Sunday, March 29 at 3:30 p.m.
BASEBALL
Bethel fell to Salve Regina 11-1 (7 Innings) in Orlando, Florida.
The Royals fall to 5-4, while the Seahawks improve to 10-1.

Salve Regina outhit Bethel 18-5. Sam Abbas went 1-for-2 with one double, one RBI, and one walk. He recorded Bethel's lone extra base hit and RBI in the contest. Seahawk pitching held the Royals to five hits and one run while he tallied three strikeouts over 7.0 innings of a complete-game win.
Jackson Hunter allowed 14 hits, seven runs (five earned), one walk, and notched three strikeouts over 5.0 innings of pitching work. Jacob Tobritzhofer came in relief for the final 1.2 frames, where he allowed four hits, four runs (three earned), and notched three strikeouts.
Bethel will face Worcester State (DH) on Saturday, March 21 at 9:15 a.m. (ET).
SOFTBALL
Bethel fell to No. 3 Texas Lutheran (DH)Â 8-1 and 9-1 (6 innings) in Seguin, Texas
The Royals fall to 3-11, while the Bulldogs improve to 20-2.

Bethel accumulated eight hits in the contest. Abby Otterness's 2-for-3 outing included a solo home run in the third inning, and one walk. Mandalyn Franks was 2-for-4, while Ellie Baker rounded out the multi-hit Royals with a 2-for-3 performance.Â
Bethel pitcher Mary Hajduk surrendered 10 hits, eight runs (four earned), two walks, and notched two strikeouts over 6.0 innings of a complete-game effort. Nine players recorded a hit for the Bulldogs. Ashley McMahon paced TLU with a 2-for-3 performance and two runs scored, while Serena Gomez and Brey Jones each hit one home run.
Texas Lutheran 9, Bethel 1 (6 Innings) (Game Two Box Score)
Bulldogs starting pitcher Jordyn Stuessy surrendered just three hits, one run, one walk, and tallied two strikeouts. Greta Stanek went 1-for-2 with one double for the Royals, while Hannah Bock's pinch hit RBI single in the sixth inning scored Abigail Sanderson, their lone run of the game.
Brianna Tix and Abby Otterness combined to allow 10 hits, nine runs (eight earned), five walks. The duo collectively had three strikeouts. Serena Gonzalez and Chesley Swisher each had two hits for a TLU offense that finished with 10 hits as a team.
