ROGERS, MINN.—The Bethel University men's tennis team cruised to a 5-2 victory over UW-La Crosse at the Rogers Tennis Club on Sunday.
The Royals improve to 6-1, while the Eagles fall to 8-3

The doubles point belonged to the Eagles, who had the upper hand 2-1. Bethel's lone victory was a 6-2 decision from Micah Gustafson/Zach Bengtson at No. 3.
The Royals won five singles matches to ice the 5-2 victory. Carter Sheard took care of business 6-3, 6-7 (7-9), 1-0 (10-4) at No. 1, as did Dylan Magistad 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (11-9) at No. 2. Watson Sheard won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4, while Kade Bishop grinded out a 6-1, 6-7 (5-7), 1-0 (10-6) victory at No. 5. Rounding out the Bethel victories was Micah Gustafson 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6.
Bethel will host UW-Stevens Point at the Rogers Tennis Club on Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m.
