ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—Bethel University men's basketball junior guard Blake Schmitz has been named February 9 MIAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week. This marks Schmitz's second MIAC Player of the Week honor after earning the distinction on January 12.

Schmitz posted a pair of 26-point performances in a 96-82 loss to St. Olaf on February 4, and an 85-70 victory over St. Scholastica on February 7. The Hermantown, Minnesota native accumulated a 20-of-30 (.667) field goal percentage, a 5-of-10 (.500) three-point mark, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two steals throughout the two-game stretch.
Through 18 games played, Schmitz is second on the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game.
The Royals will host Northwestern (Minn.) tonight, Monday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m.
