ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Bethel University women's tennis team cruised past UW-Eau Claire 6-1 at the Rogers Tennis Club on Sunday.
The Royals are off to a 2-0 start to the 2026 season, while the Blugolds fall to 5-4.

It was another day at the office for Lauryn Douglas/Michaella Sullivan, who were victorious 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. The Royals locked the doubles point thanks to a 6-0 win from Claire Keller/Zadie Walvatne at No. 3.
Bethel won five-of-six singles matches. Lauryn Douglas took care of business 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1, while Michaella Sullivan was victorious 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2. Claire Keller ran to a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3. No. 4 resulted in a 6-1, 6-2 decision for Elisabeth Langhus. Rounding out the Royals victories was Zadie Walvatne, who registered a 6-0, 6-4 triumph at No. 5.
Payton Douglas dropped a close 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9) match at No. 6 singles.
Bethel will face UW-Superior at the Duluth Tennis Center on Friday, February 20 at 3:30 p.m.
