DULUTH, MINN.—The Bethel University men's basketball team dropped a 93-73 road decision to St. Scholastica on Saturday afternoon.
The Royals fall to 6-10, 3-4 MIAC, while the Saints improve to 6-12, 2-5 MIAC.

The opening 16:26 of the contest saw the Royals in the driver's seat, which included their largest cushion at 25-12 thanks to Jay Neubert's three-pointer with 11:11 remaining in the first half. The Saints flipped the script with a 13-point cushion of their own courtesy of a 33-7 run that gave them a 45-32 halftime lead. St. Scholastica didn't relinquish the driver's seat from that point forward, thanks to Koy Nelson's 16 second-half points that helped ice a 93-73 victory over the Royals.
Nick Burke paced Bethel with 16 points and two assists, followed by 12 points and three assists from Neubert. The Royals got scoring from 12 different individuals which highlighted a 27-13 advantage over the Saints in bench points. Bethel converted a season high 13 three-pointers off 34 attempts (.384), and surrendered a season-high .585 (38-of-65) field goal percentage.
St. Scholastica got double figures from five players, led by Koy Nelson's game-high 25 points.Â
Bethel will host Saint John's (Minn.) at Robertson Center Gymnasium on Wednesday, January 21 at 7 p.m.
