ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The No. 22 Bethel University women's basketball team took down Carleton 62-55 at the Robertson Center Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
The Royals move to 10-3, 5-1 MIAC, while the Knights fall to 5-8, 2-4 MIAC.

Bethel led for all but 7:46 of action. That included the final :31 of the first half, where Carleton went into intermission in front 29-27. It also consisted of the opening 7:15 of the third quarter as Emily Erickson's layup with 2:45 remaining in the frame put the Royals in the driver's seat for good at 40-39. Bethel pushed that cushion to as wide as nine points, which included a 58-49 advantage with 0:48 left in the contest before they iced a 62-55 win.
Despite the final score, Carleton had the upper hand in shooting.429 (21-of-49) - .387 (24-of-62).
Erickson paced Bethel with a double double 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting and 11 rebounds. Next was Rosalie Penke, who had 13 points, two steals, two assists, and four boards. Leading the way at the boards was Alli Born, who had 10 rebounds as well as four assists and one block. Colette Duininck had a team-leading five assists and five steals, to go with six points for the Royals.
The Knights were led by Addy Huss's 27 points and six steals. Audrey Whitney had 15 points, while Liesl McCallum finished with 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Royals will travel to St. Olaf on Wednesday, January 14. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
