ARDEN HILLS, Minn. — Down 4-3 heading into the ninth the Bethel University baseball rallied for two runs to take down No. 14th-ranked Gustavus 5-4. The Royals put together a three run rally in the eighth inning of game two to take a 7-4 lead before play was suspended due to darkness.
Game one:
Zach Thompson took advantage of a Gustie wild pitch coming home from third to score the game's first run.
Gustavus tied the game at one with an RBI single to left in the top of the second. Up 2-1 in the fourth the Gusties made it a 4-1 game on a 2 RBI single to left.
With two on and no one out in the fifth
Joe Meurer lined an 0-2 pitch inside the left field line for an RBI double to make it 4-2.
Hayden Sperbeck made it a one run ballgame with an RBI single to left. Down by one heading into their final turn at the plate
Chris Lavin got things started with a one out double in the seventh.

Game two:
Gustavus jumped out to a 4-0 lead in game two after plating three in the first and one in the second.
Oran Hinkle got the Royals on the board in the fourth with a solo homer to right, his team leading fourth of the season, to make it a 4-1 game.

Zach Thompson single and stolen base put the go-ahead run in scoring position in the eighth.
Isaac Call legged out an infield single, forcing a Gustie throwing error which allowed the Royals to score the go ahead run.
Call later scored on a wild pitch and Chrois Lavin reached on an error to bring home another run to make it a 7-4 game.
Cavan Banks worked four scoreless innings out of the bullpen to earn the win and
Max Sutter closed it out in the ninth to earn the save and put the finishing touches on a 7-4 win and sweep.
