ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel University women's tennis team closed out its regular season with an 8-1 loss to No. 23rd-ranked Gustavus Adolphus Saturday afternoon at Ona Orth Athletic Complex.

With the loss BU finishes the regular season 13-4 overall and 7-2 in MIAC play. The Royals earn the No. 3 seed in the MIAC Playoffs where they will host a quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday, April 30. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 pm in Arden Hills with an opponent to be determined.

Lauryn Douglas picked up the lone team point for BU, winning her second straight No. 1 singles match. She went up a set, pulling out the opener 7-5 before taking it 6-4 in set two. Douglas finishes conference play with a 7-2 record.
