Bethel Women's Tennis Cruises Past Saint Benedict 9-0 in MIAC Action

Collegeville, Minn. – Bethel University (9-2, 4-0 MIAC) continued their dominant MIAC play with a 9-0 sweep over College of Saint Benedict (3-5, 0-2 MIAC) on Saturday morning at the Sta-Fit Arena. The Royals displayed strong performances across both doubles and singles to secure their fourth consecutive conference victory.

Doubles:

·       #1 Doubles: Lauryn Douglas and Michaella Sullivan got things started with a commanding 8-2 win over Sophia Jonas and Kate Perbix (CSB).

·       #2 Doubles: Julia Baber and Claire Keller dominated their match, winning 8-0 against Allyson Yahn and Ava Stritesky (CSB).

·       #3 Doubles: Elisabeth Langhus and Emma Thole completed the doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory over Ella Marohl and Lila Collins (CSB).

Singles:

·       #1 Singles: Lauryn Douglas continued her impressive play with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over Jonas (CSB).

·       #2 Singles: Michaella Sullivan cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win against Marohl (CSB).

·       #3 Singles: Claire Keller also showed her strength, winning 6-1, 6-2 against Yahn (CSB).

·       #4 Singles: Julia Baber kept the momentum going with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ryanna Steinhaus (CSB).

·       #5 Singles: Emma Thole capped off the singles sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Lila Collins (CSB).

·       #6 Singles: Courtney DeWall completed the shutout with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Kate Perbix (CSB).

With the victory, Bethel extends their unbeaten MIAC record and moves closer to securing a top spot in the conference. The Royals will look to continue their momentum in their upcoming match against Carelton in Northfield on Saturday at 2pm.
