Bethel softball continued its trip out west dropping a pair of contests. The Royals fell to No. 2-ranked Case Western Reserve 5-2 before falling to Illinois Wesleyan 9-1 in five innings. Bethel men's tennis picked up a 6-0 win over Wittenberg in a match shortened by rain.

The Spartans put up a three spot in their opening at bat to take an early lead.

Abby Otterness led off the fourth with a triple before scoring one batter later on
Mikaela Girard's sacrifice fly. Otterness tripled again in the fifth scoring
Mandalyn Franks who led off the inning via a free pass. Girard tied it up with her RBI single scoring Otterness and making it 3-3.

CWRU put up a three spot in the third, all of which were unearned after the inning started with a Bethel error.

The Titans scored nine unanswered to take down the Royals in the night cap.

An IWU error, hit by pitch to Girard, and a bases-loaded walk to
Olivia Weinberg brought in BU's only run which came in the top of the first.

Bethel gave up a pair of runs in the first and second while the Titans scored one in the third, one in the fourth and three in the fifth.

The Royals took all six singles matches before weather forced the match to end without doubles matches taking place.

Zach Bengtson at No. 6 didn't drop a single game, winning 6-0, 6-0 in his first collegiate singles match.
