BLAINE, Minn. – Surrendering a two-goal lead, the Bethel University men's hockey team salvaged a 2-2 tie with Concordia and earned the extra point in the MIAC standings, winning the shootout.
Bethel moves to 11-8-3 on the year and 7-4-2 in MIAC play, where they are tied with St. Olaf for second with 23 points.
Tyler Kostelecky put the Royals on the board 2:03 into the game, firing a one-timer off a nice pass from
Connor Brazil from behind the net.
Jack Brown made it 2-0 six minutes later, intercepting a pass in the neutral zone and beating the Cobber goalie one-on-one.
The Cobbers cut into the lead with 32 seconds left in the second before evening it up with just over four minutes left in regulation.
In the 3-on-3 overtime BU held a 3-2 advantage in the shots on frame department.

Jack Brown had the lone connection on BU's third chance.
