KISSIMMEE, FLA.—The No. 19 Bethel University women's basketball team faced Messiah on day two of the Winter Shootout in Kissimmee, Florida on Monday. Bethel rebounded from a tough loss on day one with a 71-64 victory over Messiah, who received three votes on the most recent D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.
The Royals improve to 8-2, while the Falcons fall to 8-3.

The difference was Bethel's ability to capitalize on turnovers as they forced 11 of them, which led to 12 points. The Royals turned the ball over just four times in the contest.
Leading the way for Bethel was Emily Erickson, who had 22 points, two steals, and four rebounds. Rounding out the Royal double figure scorers was Macey Littlefield and Alli Born, who had 16 and 10 points, respectively. Eight different Royals contributed points in the game.
Messiah got 22 points and two steals from Liv Monturo, followed by 15 points and six rebounds from EmmyFaith Wood. Charlotte Milanesi had 14 points to round out the Falcon double figure scorers, while April Kauffeldt pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds off the bench.
Bethel will return to MIAC play on Saturday, January 3 at Gustavus Adolphus. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
