DULUTH, MINN.—The No. 4 Bethel University football team clinched the outright 2025 MIAC Championship with a 62-0 rout at St. Scholastica on Saturday afternoon. The Royals now have seven MIAC Championships, which includes two out of the last three seasons. This marks Bethel's third undefeated season in program history, and first since 2013.
They will embark on their fifth-straight trip to the NCAA Championship, and 13th overall.
The Royals move to 10-0, 9-0 MIAC, while the Saints conclude their campaign 3-7, 2-7 MIAC.
Bethel 62, St. Scholastica 0
It was another day at the office for junior wide receiver Albert Rundell, who finished with seven catches for 75 yards and four touchdowns. This included grabs from 26 and two yards out that put Bethel in front 14-0 with 9:10 left in the first quarter.
St. Scholastica punted on their next two drives. Their second-straight punt with 4:01 left in the opening frame resulted in Devin Williams' 75-yard return for a touchdown that made the score 21-0.
Cooper Drews completed 3-of-4 passes for 35 yards on Bethel's first drive of the second quarter, which ended with his five-yard touchdown run that pushed his team's lead to 28-0 at the 9:48 mark of the second frame.
The Royals' next scoring drive was all Taye Manns, who rushed for 33 yards that included a 13-yard touchdown in the series to make the score 35-0 with 6:07 left in the second quarter. Albert Rundell closed the frame's scoring with touchdown grabs from 18 and three yards that made the score 49-0 at halftime.
Manns scored the second half's lone touchdown on a 36-yard run that pushed the margin to 56-0 with 8:59 left in the third quarter. Eli Nowacki closed the game's scoring with field goals from 36 yards with 00:03 left in the third, and a 34-yarder with 7:34 remaining in the fourth that sealed a 62-0 victory.
Taye Manns led the Royals with 126 yards rushing and two touchdowns on eight carries. Tyler Terry had six catches for a team-leading 89 yards. Cooper Drews completed 16-of-25 passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns. Jake Borman and Thomas Rush each had six tackles and a sack for Bethel. Jackson Braun, Caleb Taylor, Marcus Whiting, and Phil Conant each had sacks for the Royals.
Bethel finished with 575 yards of total offense, and held St. Scholastica to just 227 yards.
